1. Clean: Teeth should be cleaned with pumice and water to remove surface stains.
2. Color selection: Prior to isolation of tooth, select the appropriate color of Nanofil® flowable dental filling resin using a standard VITAPAN® classical guide. Multiple Simulations are recommended for the doctors by applying thedental filling resin on the target unetched surface, select the appropriate color compared to the surface after curing. For sealants, a contrasting color may be desirable to enhance detection.
3. Isolation: A rubber dam is recommended to isolate the materials.
4. Dental pulp protection: Cover the bottom of the cavity with a layer of calcium hydroxide paste as support.
5. Etching and bonding: for class III and V restoration, minimally invasive non stress-bearing cavity and sealant, total etchant is recommended by using Atmbio GK Etchant Gel (total-etching gel) and Atmbio bonding agent B-10 (total-etching adhesive),Atmbio bonding agent B-20 (Self –adhesive Bonding agent)is an alternative way with same effect, specially for the sensitive patients.
6. Filling the cavity: Apply thedental filling resin evenly on the etched cavity or target surface. The whole process should not involve any metal apparatus; Semi-transparent mould strips can be used.
7. Curing: halogen lights and LED lights (with output 400-1000 mW/cm2) are recommended, light colors should be cured for 20 seconds minimal whereas dark color should be cured for 40 seconds minimal.
8. Complete the restoration:
8.1. Base/Liner application: Place a compositedental filling resin, such as Nanofil® Universal Restorative directly over the cured Nanofil® flowable dental filling resin. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions regarding placement, curing, finishing, occlusal adjustment, and polishing.
8.2. Direct restorative application:
8.2.1. Contour restoration surfaces with fine finishing diamonds, burs or stones.
8.2.2. Check occlusion with a thin articulating paper. Examine centric and lateral excursion contacts. Carefully adjust occlusion by removing material with a fine polishing diamond or stone.
8.2.3. Polish with finishing and polishing system or with white stones, rubber points or polishing paste where discs are not suitable.
8.3. Pit and fissure sealants: Gently remove the inhibited layer remaining after light curing with slurry of pumice or polishing paste.
